Twists and special geometries

Abstract: The twist construction is a geometric realisation of T-duality. It can be used
to construct an number of interesting geometric structures in complex and hypercomplex
geometry. Recent developments show that various constructions of metrics with special
holonomy may be reinterpreted as twist constructions lead to new variants of those
constructions.
