Klaus Ecker: Mean value formulas for evolving metrics

Abstract

We present an approach for determining local and global monotone quantities which is common 
for several geometric evolution equations such as mean curvature flow and Ricciflow. 
Comparisons with monotonicity and mean value formulas for ellpitic problems such as 
minimal surfaces will also be given.
