The notion of stability for elliptic PDEs

I will introduce the notion of stability for elliptic PDEs, taking some time to explain the 
difference with the notion of stability of a given solution. This notion is quite new and 
raises some interesting questions. We shall look at some really simple equations first
before going into geometric type equations.
